Happy Halloween!

This one’s a quickie to say hello and wish all of you continued enjoyment of this autumn time of year. I know there are many Halloween lovers out there too!

Steve and I visited nearby Frederik Meijer Gardens a couple of nights ago to see the pumpkin walk through the woods - very cool and fun, especially for the kids. There were lots of folks out on a beautiful evening, not too cold and with a clear starry sky. My most beloved time of the year.

I had hoped to share a recent cake baking project here but, alas, even though it sounded good up front (a Norwegian twist on a honey almond cake), the end result was, in my humble opinion, THE most boring cake I’ve ever eaten. Enough said. I’ll just have to jump to a new project . . . . hmmmm, what might it be? I’m overdue for the next FAVE post so I’m chewing on the possible topics. Stay tuned.

In the meantime I’ll share a few photos of past pumpkin bakes. Steve prefers to keep pumpkin at a very far distance from his mouth so it’s not a regular ingredient in my larder. But it’s kinda de rigueur, especially leading up to T-day, don’t you think?

I’ve got my thinking cap on! Until next time.
