 Have you ever wanted to make croissants, macarons or éclairs? Well, the French Tart is now offering classes in classic French pastry techniques!
Pâte feuilletée: a classic French puff pastry, used in both sweet and savory dishes. We will make vol au vent and chausson aux pommes.

French macarons: learn the ins and outs, dos and don’ts of making these popular jewels of France.

All things tarts: classic doughs, seasonal flavors and ingredients and delicious small tarts to take home.

Croissants: traditional laminated dough; also used in pain au chocolat and croissant aux amandes.

Pâte à choux: what Americans know as cream puff dough, used in éclairs and profiteroles as well as in many other classic French desserts. We will bake and fill these light and airy puffs.

General information:
- Cost is $35 per person
- Maximum of 5 students per class
- Classes are 2 to 2.5 hours in length and are held in my kitchen at Hope Artiste Village, suite 8226
- Please bring your own apron, whisk, rubber spatula and rolling pin
- Recipe handouts will be provided
- Take home a finished product
- Parking is available on Main Street along the front of the building, in the center courtyard, on Dudley and Warren streets or in the large back parking lot behind the building.
Payment is due at the time of class and can be made by cash or check. PayPal is also accepted. |
